Urban finca with sea views, a large plot and a wide range of potential uses in the affluent suburbs of El Paso
Located in a quiet, rural residential area of El Paso, just a few minutes from the town centre, this unique property offers plenty of character, space and potential for development.
The plot comprises approx. 1,788 m² of urban building land and is gently terraced, featuring various fruit trees such as loquats, oranges, almonds, figs and lemons.
Access to the finca is via a narrow residential road with no through traffic – a place where one hears one thing above all else: birdsong!
The plot offers a beautiful, unobstructed view to the west with particularly atmospheric sunsets – overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the centre of El Paso, as well as the surrounding mountains and the new Tajogaite volcano, which lends this property a very special atmosphere.
The existing buildings
There are several buildings on the plot:
-
a two-storey residential house with a built-up area of approx. 189 m²
-
a garage of approx. 25 m²
-
an ‘estanque’ of approx. 98 m² (traditional water storage basin)
-
a separate outbuilding (formerly a ‘bodega’) of approx. 24 m²
-
a small washhouse (‘cuarto de pileta’)
-
a dovecote (pigeon loft) and a small chicken coop
The residential house consists of two charmingly interconnected parts:
=> an older, traditional section with typical Canarian features such as thick stone walls, old TEA wood floorboards and well-preserved wooden ceilings, the typical shutters and a Canarian window seat
=> and a newer section added later, featuring a roof terrace.
The buildings are in need of renovation but offer a solid structural foundation and numerous original details that inspire a creative, personalised living or project concept.
Outdoor area & plot
The plot is divided into four spacious terraces and offers ideal conditions for self-sufficiency, gardening or creative outdoor design.
The sunny location and slight shelter from the wind create a particularly pleasant microclimate here.
A special highlight is the roof terrace, which offers sweeping views over the surrounding area as far as the Atlantic Ocean and towards the volcano.
A large estanque, along with additional cisterns and existing pipework, provides a solid foundation for the water supply. (Water can be applied for from the relevant Comunidad de Agua.)
Location
The property is situated in a quiet residential area of El Paso, just outside the town centre.
-
Centre of El Paso: just a few minutes away
-
Good accessibility via public roads
-
Direct access to the garage
-
Additional parking available directly on the street
The rural surroundings are characterised by detached houses, gardens and a pleasant, established neighbourhood.
A property with many possibilities
According to the “Informe Urbanístico de Catastro” (i.e. the current town plan), the property is situated in “Suelo Urbano Consolidado” with the designation “Residencial – Edificación Mixta”.
This opens up various potential uses – depending on the project and planning permission – including:
-
a spacious residential project with a garden
-
A combination of living and working
-
Offices, a studio or even small commercial enterprises
This property is therefore particularly suited to buyers who are not just looking for a “house”, but a project with atmosphere and development potential:
-
People who wish to create a place with character,
-
Self-sufficient individuals or nature lovers,
-
Creative people who wish to combine living and working with plenty of space.
Large urban plots of this kind are rare in El Paso – particularly in this quiet yet well-connected location.
Conclusion
A special property for people who recognise its potential and wish to develop a place with soul – offering plenty of peace, sunshine and space for their own ideas.

WHAT'S AROUND THE CORNER?
=> El Paso
If you love the mountains and are magically drawn to the endless views over the Aridane Valley, then the municipality of EL PASO is the perfect place for you. El Paso is located in the highlands of La Palma and encompasses the Caldera de Taburiente, part of the Aridane Valley, the Cumbre Nueva and the Cumbre Vieja. It is the only municipality on Isla Bonita without its own coastline. But it is located in the heart of La Palma – you can't get any more central than this!
Tips:
Caldera de Taburiente: The Caldera de Taburiente has a diameter of about eight kilometres and a circumference of almost twenty kilometres. It is one of the oldest national parks in Spain.
Mirador de la Cumbrecita: One of the most beautiful viewpoints in La Palma, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of La Caldera de Taburiente National Park. A MUST for every Palmero!
Pico Bejenado: Pico Bejenado is the only freestanding mountain on La Palma. It stands at an impressive 1854 metres. Climb up and look down! It's worth it!
Ermita de la Virgen del Pino: A place of pilgrimage with the oldest pine tree in the world! Take a look and be amazed! Or collect mushrooms behind the church... and chestnuts!!! DELICIOUS!!!
Fiestas: The most outstanding festival in El Paso is the Fiestas de la Bajada de la Virgen del Pino, which takes place every three years on the second Saturday in August. Never miss it!
Museo de la seda: The silk museum and adjoining workshop keep the silk tradition alive, from silkworm breeding to spinning and embroidery. Here you can learn first-hand how this craft, which has already disappeared in the rest of Europe, is preserved in the traditional style.
Tasca Catalina: You have to eat tapas here! The daily menu always has new creative surprises in store. Lots of delicious tapas that you can enjoy either in the cosy atmosphere of the Palmerian house or on the terrace with a magnificent sea view.
Cafetería KaChoTé: Cafetería KaChoTé is a very cosy café where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, among other things! Everything is fresh and tasty! Here you can also sit back and relax after a visit to the silk museum, which is located directly opposite, or a shopping spree.
...and much more!!!
