Charming detached house in La Fajana – peaceful location with sea views and great potential

This lovingly designed house is nestled in the idyllic and peaceful residential area of La Fajana, the charming suburb of Los Canarios.
Here, you can live in peace and quiet, yet still be well connected: everything you need – supermarkets, restaurants, bars, schools and health centres – is just a two-minute drive away. The sea is also very close by: the beautiful beach of La Zamora is only about two kilometres away, and a footpath leads directly down to the beach from here.

The family home has a living area of around 90 m² and offers space for everything your heart desires: a large, bright kitchen-diner with a dining area, stylishly separated from the living room by a decorative half-height partition wall made of lava sand from the Teneguía volcano, three bedrooms, a bathroom, a hallway and a practical storage room at the rear of the house. Everything feels friendly and inviting – you can sense that this is a place where people have lived with passion.

A pretty, green terrace surrounds the house, offering unobstructed views of the sea and the nearby San Antonio volcano. It's a wonderful place to start the day outdoors – or to end it there.

The house is basically ready to move into, but some areas – especially the kitchen and bathroom – would benefit from a refresh. This is a great opportunity to add your own personal touch to the home with minimal effort.

Below the house, there is a separate garage (approx. 62 m²) belonging to the property, which is currently unusable and would need to be completely renovated before it could be reused. However, it offers a lot of potential – for example, for DIY enthusiasts, as a storage room or studio.

The property consists of two plots with a total area of 268 m² and is completely fenced in – ideal for children or pets.

The doors of the house are made of wood, and the windows and shutters are made of sturdy aluminium. The floors are tiled throughout – easy to maintain and welcoming. Connections for electricity, water and TV are available, and fast fibre optic internet can be easily requested.

The property is being sold furnished – so you can move in straight away or gradually design it according to your own ideas.

The surrounding area is ideal for exploring: the famous salt flats, the lighthouse, the volcanic landscapes, various beaches, fishing spots and beautiful excursion destinations are only a few minutes away.

WHAT'S AROUND THE CORNER?
=> Fuencaliente

FUENCALIENTE is La Palma's southernmost municipality, which also affects the temperature. The landscape here is extremely varied. In addition to the San Antonio and Teneguía volcanoes, there are excellent wine-growing areas, hiking trails, a marine reserve, salt flats and pine forests.

The extensive coastline of Fuencaliente also offers a symphony of small beaches and enchanted bays with fishing rocks!

Tips:

San Antonio volcano: The San Antonio volcano erupted at the turn of the year from 1677 to 1678, burying fertile pastures, the hot sacred springs of Fuencaliente and a phonolite rock, which was the sanctuary of the indigenous people of La Palma, under its lava masses.

A visit to the information centre here is a must! It is simply an ideal place to learn about the history of volcanic activity on La Palma.

But it is also worth a visit for the spectacular view of the neighbouring islands of El Hierro and La Gomera, as well as the Teneguía volcano!

El Faro de Fuencaliente: Here you can admire two lighthouses, the old and the new Fuencaliente lighthouses. More than just a photo opportunity! Fancy a swim? The small Playa del Faro de Fuencaliente beach awaits you! You can admire beautiful sunsets on this beach!

Las Salinas: Right next to the lighthouse are the salt flats, which have been declared an area of scientific interest because they are also a resting place for many migratory birds. Nature's colour palette paints the salt flats in a spectacle that is more than worth seeing!

Las Salinas de Fuencaliente is a family business that was founded in 1967 and has been supplying the whole island with salt ever since. Today, the company is run by the third generation of the same family, who continue the tradition of salt production and produce 100% natural salt.

Restaurante Temático El Jardín de la Sal: Here you can not only enjoy good food and take in the colour contrasts of the landscape, but also learn about the salt production process and buy exquisite products such as Fleur de Sel.

La Iglesia de San Antonio Abad: This impressive church (1522) captivates visitors with its whitewashed hemp roof and beautiful stone bell tower.

Playa Punta Larga: Fancy fishing, swimming and barbecuing? And authentic Palmerian life on the beach? Then discover Punta Larga!

Playa La Zamora: Playa La Zamora consists of two black sand bays: Zamora Grande & Zamora Chica. Separated by a large rock, they lie picturesquely next to each other. At low tide, you can walk from the first bay to the second. A wonderful place, not only for swimming, diving and, above all, snorkelling!

Playa Nueva: Playa Nueva is a 275-metre-long, very young beach, born from the lava of the 1971 eruption of the Teneguía volcano. At the foot of a nearby cliff, there are also two small seawater pools.

Nearby is the entrance to Fuente Santa, the famous ‘holy spring’ with healing thermal waters, which was buried by the eruption of the San Antonio volcano in 1677 and rediscovered in 2000.

El Bar Parada: Here, ‘almendrados palmeros’, a typical sweet from La Palma, are prepared on site using traditional methods. A MUST for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Bodegas Teneguía: Bodegas Teneguía is one of the most award-winning wineries in the Canary Islands. Visit and taste!

...and much more!!!
