Where sun, sea and island dreams meet – a retreat full of charm and possibilities

This property combines everything you are looking for on La Palma: sea views, tranquillity, sunshine, potential for expansion and a genuine island feeling with balanced spring-like temperatures all year round!

The country house is located in the quiet, rural Lomo Oscuro, directly above the popular Salemera beach with its lighthouse and one of the best fish restaurants on the island!

Main house ‘Villa Antonita’

The heart of the property is the large panoramic conservatory with floor-to-ceiling glass fronts facing the sea. This light-flooded room offers spectacular views of the ocean and ALL the islands that belong to the province of Tenerife: Tenerife with its Teide, La Gomera with its table mountain, the smallest of the Canary Islands, El Hierro, and of course the enchanting coast of La Palma itself. Anyone who has ever had breakfast here with a view of the sparkling sea and the contours of the neighbouring islands knows: this is quality of life!

Adjacent to the conservatory are two bedrooms, a newly designed kitchen including a dining room and a modern bathroom with a large shower.

The entire main house has been partially modernised as part of a renovation project that has already begun. However, there is still room for your own design ideas.

In front of the entrance area is a large sun terrace with equally unobstructed, fantastic sea views.

Annexe with potential

Just below the main house is another annexe with potential for conversion. The structure is intact, but the interior needs comprehensive renovation. It currently houses:

  • A rustic barbecue / barbacoa with a small kitchen

  • A separate dining room

  • A traditional wine cellar for your own wine

  • Storage rooms

In addition, there is a partially converted Pajero with a washroom at the entrance to the finca, which would be ideal for use as an additional guest room or studio/workshop.

Terraced garden with water supply

The approximately 1,818 m² plot is terraced and fertile – perfect for hobby gardeners or self-sufficient living. Oranges and nisperos already grow here, and other fruits, vegetables or vines can easily be added. A water cistern for garden irrigation is available under the terrace. Water for irrigation must be requested from the Comunidad de Agua.

WHAT'S AROUND THE CORNER?
=> Villa de Mazo

If you like fertile soil and lush, beautiful green vegetation, then VILLA DE MAZO is the place for you. The coastline in this area is characterised by valleys and farms, while the landscape in the north is more mountainous and wooded.

Tips:

Mercadillo Municipal Villa de Mazo: The farmers' market in Mazo is a must-see! Regional products have been on offer there at the weekend for 15 years! Why not try a caipirinha made from fresh sugar cane?

Casa Roja: Here you can admire and purchase traditional handicrafts from the region!

Parque Arqueológico de Belmaco: Caves on a hillside with prehistoric rock engravings and an adjacent museum.

Iglesia Parroquial de San Blas: The temple of the patron saint San Blas is a beautiful three-nave building from the 16th century.

Fiesta: Corpus Christi de Villa de Mazo – this festival is celebrated with particular devotion! Triumphal arches, corridors and floral arrangements are artfully crafted from flowers and other plant products, which simply enchant the streets of Mazo! Unique!

Playa de La Salemera: A small but beautiful beach right next to a lighthouse and the beach resort of Salemera.

Playa de El Pozo: With a length of 300 metres and a width of 30 metres, this beautiful beach is characterised by its sand and moderate waves with a slight breeze.

Bodegas El Hoyo: Bodegas El Hoyo is located in the municipality of Villa de Mazo. The vineyards, with their characteristic trellis forms on slopes, are strongly influenced by the trade winds, with low temperature fluctuations throughout the year, low rainfall and volcanic soils, enabling the excellent quality of these vineyards.

Restaurante Kiosko Playa Salemera: Specialising in fish dishes: fresh fish, squid and baby squid, moray eels and paellas.

Restaurante Casa Goyo: Very close to the SPC airport in La Palma, with a more than rustic atmosphere and the freshest fish on the island. Be sure to try the SALPICON DE PESCADO SALADO!
