WHAT'S AROUND THE CORNER?
=> Tijarafe

TIJARAFE lives mainly from agriculture, in particular bananas, avocados and wine are grown here. And that despite the many ravines that criss-cross Tijarafe! So if you like it sunny and dry, as well as steep and rugged, Tijarafe is the place for you. Although the coastline makes up a significant part of Tijarafe's borders, there are only a few beaches and places where the sea is accessible.

Tips:

El Poris de Tijarafe o Cuevas de la Candelaria: A pirate cove you can touch! Come and be amazed!

El Mirador del Time: The view of the Aridane Valley is simply magnificent! Because of and despite the volcano!

ÁREA RECREATIVA FUENTE DEL TORO: The Fuente del Toro, after which it is named, is one of the four springs that supplied the inhabitants of the town of Tijarafe with water. Today it is a local recreation area where you can enjoy a wonderful picnic! A great public barbecue area with washing facilities!

Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Candelaria: Built in the 16th century, its precious altarpiece is particularly noteworthy, standing out for its considerable size. There are very few of these in the Canary Islands. The church building itself is on the list of cultural assets.

Fiestas: The most eagerly awaited moment of the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria celebrations takes place in the early hours of 8 September. It is the so-called Danza del Diablo (Devil's Dance), which was introduced in 1923. As the name suggests, the protagonist is an evil figure who spits fireworks everywhere.

Playa de La Veta: An enchanted little beach below the cliffs!

Bodegas Vega Norte: Vega Norte produces a limited quantity of indigenous, ancient and unique grape varieties grown at an altitude of over 1,000 metres above sea level. Distinctive wines with a unique taste and aroma, Atlantic, volcanic!

Vinos Tendal: A bodega that can be visited by appointment, located in the caves of Montaña de Bellido, Tijarafe. In addition to the classic varieties, they also devote themselves to special productions such as sparkling wines, organic wines and even wines matured under the sea, which they market under the brand name El Tendal.

CERVECERÍA ISLA VERDE: Craft beer brewery and bar-restaurant. The various beers produced by this small private brewery are highly recommended.

Restaurante la Muralla: The Muralla restaurant boasts a sublime view over the sea... Thanks to a glass veranda, you feel as if you are floating above everything. Be sure to visit at night and gaze at the stars while you eat!

...and much more!!!
